World Consumer Rights Day (WCRD)
March 15 is World Consumer Rights Day. It was started by Consumers International to celebrate a very famous address to the U.S Congress by President John F. Kennedy on March 15, 1962. In that address, Kennedy outlined 4 consumer rights which became the cornerstone of consumer policy both in the United States and many countries around the world. Consumers International is currently trying to have this day recognised officially by the United Nations.
